IDAC Spotlight by Arts Council of Placer County

The Arts Council of Placer County supports and promotes the arts throughout the region, highlighting organizations that enrich the community through creativity and cultural engagement. In this spotlight, they feature the International Dance Arts Collective (IDAC), a nonprofit dedicated to fostering cultural understanding and peace through dance and music.

Serving all ages, IDAC offers classes and performances that celebrate traditional arts from around the world while actively engaging local schools and communities. Founded in 2021, the organization has grown quickly, reaching over a thousand students each year and collaborating with artists from across the globe. Through both local programming and international performances—including appearances at major folk festivals—IDAC creates meaningful cultural connections, using the arts to promote diversity, education, and global friendship.

IDAC Featured by Antelope Creek Elementary

Antelope Creek Elementary recently featured International Dance Arts Collective (IDAC) following a vibrant cultural dance assembly held on campus.

After working with fifth and sixth grade students for weeks to teach traditional dances from around the world, IDAC brought the experience to life in a lively performance. Students had the opportunity to join the IDAC dancers on stage, showcasing what they learned and becoming part of the show.

The event created an engaging, hands-on cultural experience, leaving students with a deeper appreciation for global traditions and the joy of dance.
