Our two dance intensives, led by experienced instructors, will offer your dancer an opportunity to improve their technique in jazz, ballet, contemporary/lyrical, and tap.

COLLECTIVE DANCE CLASSES
Explore our collective dance classes for ages 4 to 19 and for all skill levels. These are all performance-based team classes. Dancers will learn 1-2 cultural dance styles per semester. Click on a photo below to view a class description and find the class that's right for you.

This class introduces new young dancers to folk and cultural dance through fun movement, basic technique, spatial awareness, sequence memory, and simple choreography in a supportive setting. - Duration: 60 min, semester-long - Ages: 4–6 / Pre-K–1st grade - Performance: End-of-semester show required - Approval/prereq: None required - Tuition: $205 + $80 costume fee - Times: Tue 4–5 PM or Thu 5–6 PM

This class is for newer dancers looking to build folk and cultural dance skills through fun technique, movement, spatial awareness, sequence memory, and choreography in a supportive setting. - Duration: 60 min, semester-long - Ages: 7–14 - Performance: End-of-semester show required - Approval/prereq: None required - Tuition: $205 + $80 costume fee

This class builds folk and cultural dance skills for beginner to early intermediate dancers through technique, choreography, spatial awareness, and stage presence in a fun, supportive class. - Duration: 60 min, semester-long - Ages: 6–9 / 1st–3rd grade - Performance: End-of-semester show required; community shows encouraged - Approval/prereq: Foundations Collective or prior dance experience - Tuition: $205 + $80 costume fee

This class challenges advanced beginner to high intermediate dancers with folk dance technique, cultural dance traditions, spatial awareness, and longer, more complex choreography. - Duration: 80 min, semester-long - Ages: 9–12 / 4th–6th grade - Performance: Community & End-of-semester shows required - Approval/prereq: Instructor permission required - Tuition: $270 + $80 costume fee

This class develops intermediate dancers through cultural dance technique, complex choreography, conditioning, partnering, spatial awareness, and stronger focus in a challenging, supportive class. - Duration: 90 min, semester-long - Ages: 10–14 / 5th–9th grade - Performance: End-of-semester show required; community shows encouraged - Approval/prereq: Intermediate level recommended; instructor approval required - Tuition: $285 + $80 costume fee

This class trains high-intermediate to advanced dancers in cultural dance technique, styling across cultures, conditioning, complex choreography, partnering, lifts, and performance skills. - Duration: Semester-long; additional Fri/Sat rehearsals - Ages: 13–18 / 8th–12th grade - Performance: End-of-semester show required; community shows encouraged - Approval/prereq: Instructor approval required - Tour: Eligible after Fall & Spring if requirements are met - Tuition: $310 + $80

This class introduces brand new, young cloggers to traditional American clogging steps and a fun routine while building rhythm, coordination, and confidence. - Duration: 45 min; semester-long - Ages: 6–9 - Performance: End-of-semester show required - Approval/prereq: None required - Shoes: Tap or clogging shoes allowed first semester; white clogging shoes required after one semester - Tuition: $185 + $75 costume fee

This class helps older new cloggers learn traditional American clogging steps, rhythm, coordination, and a routine in a fun, supportive class. - Duration: 55 min; semester-long Ages: 10–18 - Performance: End-of-semester show required - Approval/prereq: None required - Shoes: Tap or clogging shoes allowed first semester; white clogging shoes required after one semester - Tuition: $205 + $80 costume fee

This class builds on prior clogging experience with traditional American clogging steps, rhythm, technique, and a routine for advanced beginner to early intermediate cloggers. - Duration: 50 min; semester-long - Ages: 7–14 / 2nd–8th grade - Performance: End-of-semester show required - Approval/prereq: At least 2 semesters of clogging required - Shoes: White clogging shoes required - Tuition: $205 + $80 costume fee

This class gives homeschool students continued training in traditional American clogging, focusing on cleaner timing, sharper precision, step confidence, and a performance routine. - Duration: 1 hr; semester-long - Ages: 7–14 - Performance: End-of-semester show required - Approval/prereq: Passed Novice Clogging and can perform required steps with precision and timing - Shoes: White clogging shoes required - Tuition: $205 + $75 costume fee

This class is for experienced cloggers ready for faster, cleaner footwork, tested skills, stronger timing, and more polished routines in class and performance settings. - Duration: 1 hr; semester-long - Ages: 9–13 / 4th–8th grade - Performance: End-of-semester show required; community shows encouraged - Approval/prereq: Placement audition and instructor approval required - Shoes: White clogging shoes required by first performance - Tuition: $205 + $80 costume fee

This class is designed to challenge high intermediate to advanced teen cloggers with challenging footwork, cleaner execution, advanced timing, tested skills, and polished performance routines. - Duration: 1 hr; semester-long - Ages: 13–18 / 8th–12th grade - Performance: End-of-semester show required; community shows encouraged - Approval/prereq: Placement audition and instructor approval required - Shoes: White clogging shoes required - Tuition: $205 + $80 costume fee

This class offers joyful movement for brand new cloggers while learning traditional American clogging steps, rhythm, and a routine. Clogging is a fun, upbeat way to exercise! - Duration: 1hr; semester-long Ages: Teen–adult - Performance: Not required - Approval/prereq: None required - Shoes: Tap shoes, clogging shoes, or sneakers allowed; white clogging shoes preferred after one semester - Tuition: $205; no costume fee

This class introduces brand new, young tappers to basic tap steps, rhythm, coordination, and a fun routine in a low-pressure class designed for learning and enjoyment. - Duration: 55 min; semester-long - Ages: 5–10 - Performance: Not required - Approval/prereq: None required - Shoes: Tap shoes required - Tuition: $205; no costume fee

This class helps dancers strengthen folk dance technique through Ukrainian/ballet training, with focus on posture, arm styling, foot and ankle articulation, strength, and artistic expression. - Duration: semester-long - Ages: Tween-adult - Performance: Not required - Approval/prereq: None required - Level: Beginning–advanced - Tuition: $200; no costume fee

This class explores the cultures of Africa and the African diaspora through joyful dance, drumming, singing, and music. This class introduces young singers to vocal technique, folk songs from around the world, rhythmic patterns, and the cultural and historical context behind the music. - Duration: 60 min, semester-long - Ages: 7–12 / 2nd–6th grade - Performance: End-of-semester show required - Approval/prereq: None required - Dress: Comfortable clothes; IDAC shirts encouraged - Tuition: $200 + $80 costume fee

We offer 3 different Flamenco classes: Intro, Advanced Beginner, and Sevillanas. These classes provide a fun way to build flamenco technique, rhythm, musicality, and Spanish dance style. - Duration: 60 min, 6 weeks - Ages: Teens–adults - Performance: Not required - Approval/prereq: none - Dates/times: Intro: Tue 12:15 May 12–June 16; Advanced Beginner: Mon 6 PM June 1–6; Sevillanas: Thu 6 PM, May 7–June 11 - Tuition: $108 or $25 drop-in
